LAMA - Social Enterprise

Aggiornato il: 26/01/2026

Founded in 2007, LAMA is a cooperative and social enterprise specializing in social innovation, urban regeneration, and public participation. Based in Florence, LAMA works alongside public authorities, companies, universities, and third-sector organizations to support sustainable and inclusive territorial and social transformation at local, national, and European levels.

Over the years, LAMA has taken part in numerous European projects and launched pioneering initiatives such as Impact Hub Florence (2013), a collaborative space for innovation, and MIM (2019), a company focused on the design and management of temporary uses within the large-scale urban regeneration project of Manifattura Tabacchi in Florence.

LAMA’s multidisciplinary team combines expertise in socio-economic research, impact evaluation, business analysis, service co-design, strategic communication, and stakeholder engagement. These skills support organizations seeking to innovate processes, policies, and spaces through participatory and informed approaches.

Within the EPIC project, LAMA leverages its core strengths—social innovation, research and impact evaluation, placemaking, and strategic communication—to lead and coordinate participatory processes for the design of tourism itineraries and immersive experiences. Its contribution is essential to building a future-oriented tourism offer deeply rooted in local communities.
